Writing Intensive Application

Please use the Writing Intensive form below, and email to WI Chair Irene Rossell (irossell@unca.edu).

We invite you to make use of the following resources as you think about the course you are proposing as a Writing Intensive course:

  • Workshops and reading groups available throughout the year (announced via faculty email).
  • Individual consultations with a member of the WI Subcommittee (contact Subcommittee Chair Irene Rossell at irossell@unca.edu to arrange an appointment).
  • The University Writing Center website.

Once you have completed your application (to be submitted electronically to the Subcommittee Chair, Irene Rossell (irossell@unca.edu), the WI Subcommittee will review it, consult with you about any clarifications needed, and give you a response as quickly as possible. Once your application has been approved, the designation remains for three years.
